How much junk can we pick up?

How much junk can we pick up?  This is a common question we hear.  Happy Hippo has large volume trucks for junk removal. While the industry standard is 12-15 cubic yards, which is about 6-7 full size pickup truck loads.  Our trucks hold more than double this amount of junk our competitors trucks.  Our large trucks hold the equivalent of 16- 17 full size pickup truck loads.

What does that mean for our customers?  First, since we use much larger trucks we can usually take all your items away in one trip without having to come back to your property multiple times.  Secondly, we only charge by the size and weight of the items we remove.  If we don’t fill the truck up you will only be charged for the space used by your items.

What happens to the items we remove?  That is a great question.  Happy Hippo does the best job we can to be efficient and environmentally conscious with items we take. We try to keep as many items out of the landfill as possible.  First we try to find places to donate items that can reuse them or give them to families in need.  All items that cant be donated or rehomed will then be taken to the landfill and properly disposed.
